And to all the good things that mean so much to people around the globe: being able to make light in darkness, having things that are still green in winter, having surplus food in winter/the dry season, and having friends and family that like you enough to share food and fuel with you if you don’t happen to.

Merry “fuck you planet, you’re not going to kill us this year”.

    Apparently I have to actually be explicit here.

    You are among the very small and narrow company who was disinvited from commenting here, on the grounds that you cannot take the hint that drive-by “well, what’s WRONG with outright racism and misogyny”, without any followup engagement but more in the same, is not what we want in our commentariat even if most of your comments don’t contain “but black people/women are just less reasonable and more animalistic than white men because everyone knows that”.

    We are not the first people to disinvite you on these grounds. We also find it highly ironic that you are going around complaining about our extreme unreasonableness to other friendly blogs, given that in every definition I am familiar with, this is traditionally described as, ah, cattiness.

    I don’t know how I missed it. I kept wondering why I was getting views on my little blog from your site. you put me on your blog-roll. Um…I hope I can say this with the minimum hokiness-but that means so much to me I could never express it.-even if it’s a routine thing for you guys to do, your blog was an inspiration for me to try and then continue working on mine. So, thank you, both.

    It’s not routine, no. I put whatever on there that I like and want to read again, no matter how large, small, frequently updated, or linked to me or not. It’s more for my own browsing convenience than anything, but you’re very welcome.
