Vet is very pleased with the progress Zydeco has made on the antibiotic injections and wants to slow them down some. He looks brighter, is more active, and is leaking a lot less pus and gore. He’s far from over it yet but he’s recovering.
Kang is packing at least three big pups in her belly, with room for a fourth to be hiding in there as well. Delivery any day now, as opposed to another week or so as I had thought.

Good News.

I knew Zydeco would kick that infection’s ass.

Go Zydeco!
And go Kang, sounds like a reasonable number of pups for a first litter.

Promise us a picture of the newborns

Thanks for the update on your critters; it’s great to hear that Zydeco is on the mend! Any chance of pics of Kang’s puppy-full belleh? And I’d definitely like puppy pictures when the wee ones arrive.

I trust that the vet employee who gave you the run-around earlier is the one being ‘delegated’ by the vet to administer the injections . . . without benefit of restraints on Zydeco?
(Insert evil grin here.)

Glad to hear Zydeco’s on the mend. Best of luck to him, and to Kang and her pups.
How’s Kodos dealing with all this nonsense?
August 18th, 2011 at 8:27 pm
Peter: said employee is still around and doesn’t seem to be the one to deal with him in back, but they seem to be dealing with it by waiving the office-visit fees on all his subsequent visits and charging me for medication alone. Seems reasonable.
Blunt: he’s aware there’s something wrong with the cat and vaguely aware something’s up with Kang, but Akitas overall are pretty laid-back animals who only really get worked up when there’s a problem they can deal with more directly.

“…is leaking a lot less pus and gore.”
I always took it as a good sign when the doctors would note that on my charts.

All good news, sounds like you’re fixing to be even busier!!!

Glad to hear Zydeco is on the mend - he needs to be well enough to put the fear of cat into the puppies when they start exploring!
Hope everything goes well with Kang, and that your life is a lot lower-key soon. With puppies!

Great news on the Atomic Pets! Glad to hear it, and can’t wait to see pictures of giant puppies!
