    Yeast are unicellular fungi, btw.

    Meads are difficult because honey is missing things yeast needs. Add uric acid ( or add fruit juice ), and mead takes off. You may be able to save that molasses beer the same way.

    You can get pure uric acid at a brew store … you don’t have to pee in it like they did in the middle ages …
