Just out of curiosity, Heinz or Hunts?

No Responses to “Shortest Filler Ever:”

  1. Flighterdoc Says:

    Del Monte

  2. Nortius Maximus Says:

    {empty set}

  3. Holly Says:

    Heinz! Hunt’s is funny sweet.

  4. SB7 Says:

    Heinz all the way.

  5. Jeff Says:

Homemade or do without. I grew up with the homemade stuff and the store bought just can’t compare.

  6. Phil Says:

    Heinz.

When/where I grew up, Hunts was the ‘poor substitiute’, and Del Monte was the ‘we’re on food stamps’ option.

I grew up a privileged son of Midwest upper middle-class landed gentry.

  7. Top of the Chain Says:

    heinz

  8. Shane Says:

I try to avoid Heinz products.

  9. Adam Says:

THE BLOOD OF THE INNOCENT TOMATO-KIN.
    Plus high-fructose corn syrup.

  10. Gregory Morris Says:

Heinz. Duh. Everything else is just trying to be like Heinz.

It is very telling that so many restaurants keep their Heinz bottles and refill them with cheap counterfeit ketchup.

  11. SigBoy40 Says:

There are other brands of ketchup besides Heinz?

  12. aczarnowski Says:

    Heinz.

  13. Nick Says:

This may be one of the most insulting questions I have ever read. To even suggest there is an option…the nerve!

  14. Blake Sobiloff Says:

Heinz, but the organic stuff from Trader Joe’s is in my fridge right now (no corn syrup!).

  15. Turk Turon Says:

That all depends… are we talkin’ ketchup or catsup?

  16. Peter Says:

    Supermarket house brand.

  17. Dominique Says:

Heinz 57 varieties! (That said, I speak out of ignorance. I’m reasonably certain the red sauce in our fridge is off-brand, and I’m gauche enough that I can’t really taste the difference.)

  18. Dave Says:

    Stubbs

  19. Alan Says:

Neither. Ketchup is an abomination that covers up the taste of the food.

  20. Instinct Says:

    Heinz

  21. David, Chandler, AZ Says:

    Heinz of course.

  22. DarrenS Says:

Anything OTHER than Heinz. I won’t give them a dime of my money…they are in the same group as Progressive Insurance and others who fund the stamping out of my constitutional rights. Hell…I’d never eat ketchup again before I’d give Heinz any of my heard-earned, over-taxed cash.

  23. Fjolnirsson Says:

    Great Value(Walmart Store Brand)

  24. naleta Says:

Brooks It’s a regional brand. I’ve seen it in NE Ohio as well as SE Michigan.

  25. BobG Says:

“Neither. Ketchup is an abomination that covers up the taste of the food.”

I agree; that’s why they make hot sauces and salsas.

  26. William the Coroner Says:

    Heinz.

  27. Thomas Says:

This catsup stuff, for what is it used?

  28. Regolith Says:

    Heinz

  29. Turk Turon Says:

I think it’s s’posed to be Heinz Ketchup and Hunt’s Catsup. Like matter and anti-matter.

  30. Don Says:

    Dave: +1

  31. Kristopher Says:

Why does Costco sell Heinze in #11 tin cans?

  32. SmartDogs Says:

Is this a lead-in to something tasty on l-glutamate and umami?

If so, I’d like to add that the concentrated tomato paste that comes in those toothpaste-type tubes adds a wonderful umami kick to all kinds of foods.

  33. LabRat Says:

No, but now there’s no reason there couldn’t be in the future… *adds to list of “ideas to pummel”*

  34. Roberta X Says:

Brooks Rich And Tangy or Chili Sauce (technically Heinz) or, for chips, fish, etc., malt vinegar.

…Or Red Gold, a local brand — best canned tomaters, ever.
