Everybody Loves Dog Pictures
Irradiated by LabRat
My brain is a fine sludge in the bottom of my skull, thanks to… I don’t fucking know what kind of pollen, since the Los Alamos pollen data project closed down for awhile and hasn’t started up again yet. It would be a lot worse if the AC didn’t have fine filters that catch most of the sneezeratin’ crap- as it is for my mother-in-law, who is damn near incapacitated- but it’s bad enough to make me sacrifice one of my last cans of Pepsi Max in an effort to get a few of those little lights blinking again.
Human suffering from being unwillingly involved in plant sex is proof that if God exists, He’s got a mean and perverse streak, if you ask me.
As you may have guessed, this means that in terms of ideas for blogfodder, I’ve got jack and shit and Jack left town. The best I came up with was realizing I haven’t posted any pictures of the dogs in quite some time. So, in honor of a friend who is getting a pup from the same excellent kennel we got our Yard Wolves from tonight, Akita image dump ahoy! Hey, it works for Rachel Lucas.
About the only kind of picture we can get of Kang. She’s a very happy girl. This is a good thing, as a dog with her level of intensity with an actual urge to be the boss rather than the life of the party would be hard to handle.
Our big red boy, along with some of the remainder of his old undercoat from last season. It’s amazing how many pictures we have of him where he’s blinking or making some kind of funny face. I think he does it deliberately.
Gratuitous play picture. My, he looks fierce, doesn’t he? And silly. All at the same time.
Kilroy Kang was here.
I don’t know, I can’t really tell if he’s enjoying this or not.
He really… really… REALLY loves the central air. So does she, but you’d think there were no other vents in the house the way she was vocally carrying on here about him hogging that one.
No dogs were actually dropped from a great height to achieve this picture. She’s just trying to get maximum surface area onto the cool linoleum.
Wasn’t she an obscenely cute puppy?
There. Now, when Sam does as ordered and posts a ton of HER new girl, I can prove that they ALL are.

Everybody loves central air.

Alcibiades- Yes, but most of us don’t love it so much we lick the vents in worship.

My joy..knows no bounds.
The are stunning!
No matter how fabulous Irie is, she may never achieve their level of FabulousAkitaness.
You deserve a shrine in your honor, for hooking me up with C.
(How much therapy will this pup need? A Rasta-Akita from WV?)

Aw…maybe I’ll NEED an Akita when I move up to Alaska one day.

Sam- I have a feeling she’ll adjust.
John- Well, they ARE coated for Alaskan weather. When Kodos saw a bear, though, he thought it was a really good idea to go RIGHT BACK INSIDE; the willingness to challenge a bear minding its own business is a trait that, ah, disappears fast from a normal gene pool without heavy selection.

Hell, if the bear if minding its own business, leaving Br’er Bear alone is the right thing do do.
