New text color: Better, or worse?

It works, but then I didn’t mind the old text color.
It does help lessen the high contrast between plain white and plain black, though, which is really the big enemy. It seems that when the text contrasts too much from the background and when it contrasts too little are the danger areas. Hence, a dark gray on white is better than black on white (as is a dark gray on a very light gray, for that matter), and a light gray on black is better than white on black.

It works. Much easier to read than the original. Can’t wait (but I will) for further experimentation. Should be interesting.
P.S. I like Scarlet, Fuchsia, and Cerise with Burgundy trim. Try getting that one to be readable!

I like!

I really, really hate light text on a black background. Really.
Regolith is right; you can’t beat a dark gray text on a white or very light gray background for readability.

What Christina said.

Oooooh, I like! The lighter yellows you had been using seemed harsh against the black, but I really like this blue!

Agree with DJ.
If you must stay with dark background, can you make it a “slate”, as in bluish charcoal?

This is definitely better than before, but I agree with everyone above making the point that dark-on-light is much easier to read than light-on-dark.

I just “highlight” it all and read it black on white. Not too big a price to keep artistic integrity in place.
The new colors are easier to read than those before.
