That’s Quite a Nutshell There, Mufti

Still exhausted and busy- will get back on the stick on Monday, hopefully- but meanwhile, have a slice from this article about the continued war of the Saudi clergy on any sort of fun, no matter how utterly harmless. (Specifically, birthday parties.)

The fact that they’ve declared birthdays to be religiously poisonous is gob-smacking in that routine way where you no longer expect anything else from this pack of joyless mummies, but I thought this particular quote from the previous Lemon-Sucker-In-Chief really summed up the entire failed culture:

“It’s not permissible to take part in them,” he said. “Birthday parties are an innovation . . . and people are in no need of innovations.”

Got it? Got it.

“and people are in no need of innovations.”

Cars, explosives, cartridge ammunition, airplanes, trucks, TV, telephone. I like it. That will slow Islamic terrorist WAY down.

Well, any of those things used for fun would be bad. But using the tools of Shaitan against the Great Satan- perfectly kosher… {ahem} I mean halal.
